Course Dates have Changed, Please See
If you've ever wanted to learn the craft of figure drawing or support a current drawing practice by either learning or returning to some fundamental skills then this course is for you.
This course will touch upon the foundational skills of figure drawing through drawing exercises and train you to see and think clearly about your approach to representing the figure. With a different focus in each class, the 6 sessions will amount to a tool box of figure drawing skills that are supportive of a whole spectrum of drawing styles. Skills include drawing techniques, measuring, proportions, and other considerations sprinkled with a little anatomy.
Throughout the course there will be discussions about why we, as humans, are so drawn to creating nude figures from personal and philosophical points of view. This will be conversational and organic - no lectures here!
Classes are fairly friendly and informal, with opportunities to chat and share your work with other participants.
Suggested materials are paper, pencils, an eraser, and sharpener though you may draw with any medium that suits you. Sharpies have proven to be pretty wild!
Course dates have been moved to April!
6 consecutive Tuesdays starting 2nd March. Listed as follows:
I offer limited free spaces on all of my courses to those who are unable to access the sessions for various reasons. So by buying a ticket you are enabling someone else to participate. Paying it forward :)
