Information

Animated Assembly Theatre Company presents 'Eight Numbers of Nine'. An autobiographical narrative that follows the true story of a sixteen year old boy who flees from a lifetime of abuse to enlist in The British Army, and in doing so, becomes embroiled in a national scandal. Spearheaded by Director Lauren Tillbrook and performed by Playwright Joseph Turton, this production seeks to shed light upon the events of The 2014 Army Foundation College Scandal and challenge the audience to consider whether it is in the national interest for the UK to recruit children into its armed forces.

Content Warning: 'Eight Numbers of Nine' contains strong language, intense descriptions of physical and psychological abuse of children and the depiction of the effects of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Depression.
