In 2021 the walled garden was comprehensively redeveloped to a design by celebrated garden designer and plantsman, Nigel Dunnett. The new garden tells the 800-year horticultural story of this extraordinary site from its monastic origins in the 13th century through to the Victorian passion for ferns.
Join us for a guided tour which includes the Formal Garden, the Orchard, the Monastic Garden and the Romantic Garden, as well as the fascinating Victorian Fernery.
