Join us for two hours of life drawing, within a playable amphitheatre constructed entirely from upcycled pianos. Delicious scribbling accompanied by beautiful improvised piano music. No need to know a pencil from a pen! All welcome.
Take a couple of hours off from your mind with some all abilities, untutored life drawing.
I'm delighted that Reconfigure and Pianodrome are joining forces once more. Life drawing in the round is a real treat. No need to know a pencil from a pen! We welcome artists of all abilities and none. There will be a bar provided by Bellfield Brewery to help you get those marks flowing, and a little assistance should you need it from organiser Topaz Pauls. There will be drawing boards and basic drawing materials to borrow, with paper and sketchbooks and fancier mark-making materials to buy. Feel free to BYOfavourites.
Reconfigure is an inclusive events platform founded by artist and life model Topaz Pauls. Reconfigure aims to bring together the best of Edinburgh's life models, performers and musicians to create immersive and inventive drawing experiences.
Pianodrome returns with a newly built amphitheatre made entirely from up-cycled pianos, appearing in the almost forgotten Old Royal High nestled on the side of the iconic Calton Hill. Pianodrome hosts a full-spectrum programme of music, theatre and spontaneity including free lunchtime concerts every day from 1pm. Full listings of all events listed on our website. No piano is waste, no person in unmusical
