The Asuras hail from Paisley, a town rich in culture, both musical and otherwise. However seeing as Paolo Nutini only releases one album per millennia, and Gerard Butler is Gerard Butler, founding members Connor Hepburn (vox), and Wredd Ferry (songwriter, guitars, backing vox, Capricorn, coffee enthusiast and nephew of Gerard Butler) decided the PA needed some new talent to it’s name. After exhausting everyone they knew who played an instrument within a 300 mile radius (including a certain Gerard James Butler), our beloved founding members ended up settling on guitarist Adam MacDonald who they managed to bag under the pretence that they would do a cover of Sweet Child O’ Mine, and drummer Joe Doyle who promised Connor he’d teach him how to count to four if he was hired.
