Information

Let our expert sewing tutor guide you through some handy techniques to mend, upcycle and extend the life of your clothes and textiles.

You will be given the opportunity to try these out, and speak to our tutor directly, getting 1:1 advice on any of your mending projects, so you can repair and breathe new life into your much-loved clothes and textiles.

Also included in this workshop will be a discussion around fast fashion and how we can respond to the sustainability challenges it creates! We will talk about sustainable textile practices and how you can easily adopt a more sustainable approach to this in your everyday life.

Our tutor will demonstrate various techniques to repair, mend, and extend the life of your garments and textile goods. You will have the opportunity to learn and try some of the techniques and ask questions as well.

We suggest preparing some threads and textile scraps or an old tea towel to try out some of the stitches you will be shown. Have a pair of scissors, needle, and whatever textile tools you like to hand.

Concessionary Discount Information

Concession prices are applicable for those receiving benefits or who are currently unemployed. Proof of eligibility where possible will be required when attending the workshop.
