Raising awareness of human rights issues through the arts.
In 2019 the Oxford Human Rights Festival is celebrating its 16th year. This year's theme is ACTIVISM.
Founded in 2003, the festival is an initiative of post graduate students on the MA course in Development and Emergency Practice at Oxford Brookes University. In recent years we have expanded from a film festival to also include exhibitions, music, performing arts and speakers, and our organising committee now involves students from across the University studying subjects as varied as Business, Film, Events Management, and Philosophy.
