The FOSROC Super6 launched November 2019 It is played by six franchise teams, with part-time professional players and full-time coaches and is the top tier of domestic rugby in Scotland. Super6 aims to improve playing standards, by better-developing Scottish players, coaches and match officials to feed talent into the full-time professional game.

The Teams


Representing the West of the country, Ayrshire Bulls play their home matches at Millbrae and have former Scotland and Glasgow Warriors back Peter Murchie as Head Coach.


Former Scotland star Graham Shiel, who has previously been Head Coach of the national 7s side, has taken the Super6 reins at the Bears, who play their home games at Meggetland in the capital.


Representing the wider Border region, Southern Knights have Rob Chrystie at the helm and host home fixtures at The Greenyards, one of Scotland’s most iconic club grounds.


Fergus Pringle, the former Edinburgh and Scotland A second row, has taken charge at Myreside, where he will be assisted by the experienced Nikki Walker.


Stirling County, who play at Bridgehaugh against the dramatic backdrop of the Wallace Monument, appointed former Edinburgh centre Ben Cairns to the position of Head Coach.

Heriot's Rugby

The Goldenacre club, the only side never to have been relegated from Scotland’s top flight. Their Head Coach is former Edinbrugh and Scotland A hooker Andrew Kelly who returned from Hong Kong to take up the post in February 2020.
